Entering in My Destination’s Biggest Baddest Bucket List has really gotten me pumped and inspired not only to win the contest (which I’d LOVE to win), but has inspired me to work on other areas of my life. First of all what is ” My Biggest Baddest Bucket List”? My Destination, an online global travel resource, is holding a competition called The Biggest Baddest Bucket List, where the winner will win a trip blogging and vlogging around the world to 6 continents for 6 months with all expenses paid, $10,000 spending money and a sweet ass cheque of $50,000 once completed! Woo hoo! I’m down, are you? ( For those who want to enter in this competition, click here and submit your entry: http://www.mydestination.com/bbb#tab The competition happened at the most perfect time, after over indulging on Christmas cookies, having maybe a little more vino than I should have, getting off track with the gym and then breaking in the new year with Canada’s cold.

The three areas this competition has helped in me are:

1.Improving my social media skills as this is an online contest.

This competition has helped me with my social media skills while taking part-time classes for a Social Media Certificate at George Brown College in Toronto. I am able to put into use my current social media skills, and skills that I am currently learning in getting an audience to vote for me. In order to win this competition, I am to get as many votes as I possibly can via Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Stumble Upon or Google +. I am trying to engage using various platforms to get people to watch my entry and vote for me. I am trying to use creative out of the box ideas to traffic people to vote. I’m actually thinking of making a You Tube Video doing the Harlem Shake. What do you think? Will it help me? lol Call it weird, but I could traffic people!! lol

2.Improving my health goals with nutrition and fitness.

Like I mentioned, I have slipped of my health regime and have been enjoying myself, which I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Like most people I am usually a big fuller in the winter and fitter in the spring/summer. This competition has helped me get back on track with fitness. Now don’t get it wrong, I’m not trying to do exercise just because of this competition. I always do exercise! It’s just I feel more inspired a few months earlier.

3. Aligning with my life purpose.

It’s always been my dream to inspire people to live out their dreams through travel inspiration. Throughout my many experiences of being abroad, people would always ask me why I wanted to go away and why I wouldn’t stay still in Toronto. I wanted to share with them the beautiful things I was experiencing, however we were not living in the online social media world that we are living in today. I have been sharing my authentic travel experiences through my online social media platforms through my blog and You Tube Channel the last few years now. Being in this competition and winning would mean doing what I do now for a much larger audience and a much more professional level.

I’m jazzed about this! Thank you for following my journey! Voting ends March 31st, 2013! Let’s see what happens!!!

What are you inspired to be doing now? If you aren’t, what can you do right now to make you feel good? Please comment in the box below! I’d love to hear from you!
