Doing the Harlem Shake

Doing the Harlem Shake

Yesterday I decided to get my own “Harlem Shake” video online, after watching so many Harlem Shake videos! It seems to be the internet craze all over You Tube this February, so why not join the online community and have some fun!

Greek Yiayia Getting Ready to Harlem Shake

Greek Yiayia Getting Ready to Harlem Shake

If you watch the videos online, they tend to be 30 Seconds with the “Harlem Shake” song by electronic musician Baauer. My video is just over 2 minutes, because I’ve included showing the behind the scenes training I did with my Greek Grandma. (Yiayia is how we call her in Greek!) First I had to explain what the Harlem Shake was, and then how to do it! If you see my video, you can see in the training that my Greek Yiayia got up from knitting by herself, and started to shake. Call her BADASS, that’s my Greek Yiayia Maria! My cousin Billy is also in this video! Some family fun on Family Day Weekend in Toronto you might want to say.

The first 15 seconds shows a scene with people carrying on their day in whatever activity, and then when the beat drops everyone goes crazy shaking in costumes their Harlem Shake ( Which isn’t like the Original Harlem Shake you might be thinking about! :P). It was so much fun & my Grandma, well she is such a trooper! ha ha Enjoy!

Let's do this!
