Little Beach, Maui, Hawaii

Little Beach, Maui, Hawaii

Little Beach in located on the island of Maui in Hawaii. If going, be prepared to experience a beach party like no other! You will experience a drum circle, dancing, jumping into massive waves, and partying with drinks and possibly brownies on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I went with The Banana Bungalow Hostel I was staying at, which gives free day tours everyday as long as you tip your guide!

My experience:

Monday, September 5th, 2011

Sitting at a picnic table outside of the Banana Bungalow. I don’t feel like speaking to anyone. I just woke up from my “Little Beach adventure” from yesterday. There is this guy here who won’t shut up. Blah blah blah blah. Honestly dude, honestly can’t you see that I am being polite and quiet because I don’t want to talk because I partied way too much and it’s 9:00 a.m.? Just relax and enjoy the quietness of the morning. Actually, even better I don’t feel like speaking to you since I think you are a creeper in asking me what my favourite sexual positive was yesterday! Random people asking the most random questions and wanting an answer back.

Yesterday was an unreal day like no other. Everything was amazing until the end of the day when I was smashed. I went to bed at 8:00 p.m. You can understand now without me explaining. I did however make the video above, so I guess I did well. Maybe it’s because I am highly sensitive to wine. I don’t know if it was being highly sensitive to wine or the fact that I drank a bottle of wine. Hmmmmmmm Now it is all making sense. You have a highly sensitive person who is sensitive to wine and there she goes and drinks a bottle! That would do it folks!

Banana Bungalow provides free daily tours to different places in Maui. Yesterday, and every Sunday they take people to Little Beach which is right next to big beach! It is a nude beach or as they say, ” clothing optional.” It’s a hippy stype party on the beach where people dance to the drum circle, drinking and eating brownies, and jumping into the waves. Naked dudes everywhere! Some people were naked, but mostly men of all ages. I felt awkward taking pictures of the scenery because I didn’t want to take any pictures of people’s private parts and seem like a creeper. I guess the advantage in going to a clothing optional beach is that you can prescreen and see what you are going to get before you get it????? LOL No surprises here. TADAHHHHHHHHHHH

To get to Little Beach, you have to walk through Big Beach and keep walking straight until you reach a black cliff and walk up. A man instantly upon seeing us said ” Banana Bungalow straight ahead.” How did he know we were apart of Banana Bungalow? Was it because we were looking around confused and fully clothed?? lol

Elaine infront of Big Beach just on top of the cliff.

We settled in and started the party. Cracked open the Shiraz. Sitting on the beach with my fellow backpackers from The Banana Bungalow Hostel. Sitting in front of the ocean watching the waves, while listening to the rhythm of the drums as we let the ambiance just sink in.
There is this sport I learned. Well I don’t know if it is really a sport, sport, but I consider it one. It is called Wave Jumping. What you do is wait for a wave to come and jump with it! OMG, I had never had so much fun wave jumping before in my life. These waves were huge! I felt like I was on a roller coaster! After awhile, I recall myself talking to the waves like a little kid telling them ” bring it on, bring it on.” lol I shouldn’t speak like that to the waves because they can seriously do some damage. I think the Hawaiian waves have attitude and if you aren’t careful, they will give you a piece of their mind. That’s exactly like the Hawaiian woman at the club I went to, and I asked her if she was Hawaiian. She told me, ” Yeah, I’m Hawaiian Bitch!.” LOL OMG, she was scary!!!! She was more tough than a Jamaican girl, I swear! LOL Yeah, so don’t mess with Hawaii I guess.

They have these brownies there. They aren’t made from a Betty Crocker box I can assure you. They have been apart of the Maui, Hawaiian traditions past on for decades my friend from Manchester, England believes. Brownies like no others. Yah, because I know what brownies are really like and I can compare!

Brownies on Little Beach

Everyone was happy in the sun. Some people with clothes on. Some people nude. People jumping in the waves. Even the dogs were jumping happily into the waves. And then a bee stung me! A bee! Yes a bee! I pulled out it’s stinger. The last time I was stung by a bee was in the Cayman Islands. I had a fever, felt sick and had to get a shot at the doctors. That can’t happen now I thought! Sergi a traveller from the hostel told me to put my pee on it. Really? I am going to pee and then put it on my sting? YUK! LOL He then told me something that instilled fear and quick action. ” Your health is in your hands.” AHHHHHHHHH! Ok, ok! I went to the right of the rocks away from the mass population on the beach. I found a fabulous place to squat. Every time I squat, I always think how much easier it would be to be a man right now. I peed on my hand. Warm liquid, yuk! Then I placed it on my sting. Was it enough? Should I pee more? A man approached me asking if I was ok. YUP, I’m terrific, you know the usual, just peeing on my hand. No worries! Not knowing if it was enough, I peed again on my hands. This time a women in her 60’s nude approached me asking if I was ok. Awwww so sweet. A naked Grandma asking if I am ok. lol Although, she really had a nice body for her age! I am ok, I am just peeing on myself!

The Bee That Stung Me

Back to the party. The Drums! Chatting! Laughing! And then there you have it, the spirit of a Sunday on Little Beach. And then off to bed at 8:00 p.m.! LOL OMG……… and now we are suppose to hike a mountain. LOL
