Mamallena Hostel was very helpful in organizing my wonderful trip to the San Blas Islands with www.panamatravelunlimited.com It was one of my favourite trips ever! Everyones different and Villa Vento is a good hostel and Daniel a cool guy, but I think you'll find that theres plenty of people that really enjoy their stay at Mamallena as well. Marbella is a higher class area, but certainly not safer than ours. We're in a local neighborhood which not everyone can handle, but it's certainly not dangerous. We also have free pancakes and coffee for breakfast, nor do we have a curfew, in case you had forgotten. At the time you were here the price was also $12 which is a lot cheaper than Villa Vento, and a lot cheaper than what you've quoted here.
